February 17, 2006, Newsletter Issue #79: Limit number of stops per outing

Tip of the Week

In order to minimize the chance of your child melting down in public, limit the number of places you go on each outing. Some children have a higher tolerance than others and will be able to handle going three or more places per outing. Other children can only handle one stop. Recognize your childīs limit and return home while your child is still behaving properly. This will drastically reduce the amount of stress which accompanies a day out with your child.
